Rita Bolander

Rita Marie Bolander, 82, of Millersville, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 24th 2021. Rita was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 14, 1939 to the late Helen and Charles Trunkenmiller. She grew up in South Baltimore, and attended St. Mary’s Star of the Sea. Rita worked in a clerical position for a supply company for some years, and raised her family with her loving husband, Wayne Bolander Sr. Rita enjoyed needle point, crocheting, cooking, baking and loved crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Wayne N. Bolander, Sr. her daughter, Kathleen Beam, sons, Brian and Wayne Bolander Jr., two sisters, and one brother, along with 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Severn Christian Church at 8132 New Cut Road, Severn, Maryland 21144 on Tuesday, March 2nd, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.  A Celebration of Life service will start at 12 p.m. interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made in honor of Rita’s name to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Maryland 21122.
