On December 9, 2015, Rose M. Moenius, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on May 23, 1928, to the late Rose and Joseph Eikenberg. Rose was a member of St. John the Evangelist and Holy Trinity Catholic Churches and she volunteered at Rock Crushers Elementary School in Florida to help children to read. She enjoyed reading and going on cruises.
Rose was predeceased by her devoted husband of 60 years, Charles J. Moenius, Jr., her son, Charles J. Moenius, III, and her brothers, Joseph and Leo Eikenberg. She is survived by her beloved children, Nancy L. Tomlinson and Michael J. Moenius; her loving grandchildren, Jeff, Jill, Susan, Jennifer, Chip, Brittany, Bridget, Jenna, and Ashley; seven cherished great-grandchildren; and her dear siblings, John Eikenberg, Marie Curran, and Anna May Betkey.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 14, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 15, at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Rose may be made to assist victims of domestic violence through the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, 1517 Ritchie Hwy, Arnold, MD 21012.
