Susan Daciek

On Sunday October 16, 2022, Susan Fritz Daciek of Linthicum, MD passed away in Hershey, PA at the age of 88. She was born in Sistersville, WV to Marjorie and Roy Fritz.

Susan grew up in Huntington, WV before going to West Virginia University where she met her future husband Leon Daciek. They were married for almost 69 years (68 years, 11 months) until his death in December of 2021.

Susan and Leon moved to the Baltimore area after getting married, where she was a homemaker raising their three children. She is survived by her children; Charles L. Daciek (Carla), Michael J. Daciek (Kathleen) and Martha S. Umberger (Lloyd). Loving grandmother of Kevin, Lisa, Allison, Patrick, Matthew and Zachary. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren; Hannah, Harper, Briggs, Huxley and Everett and many loving friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 on Thursday, October 27, 2022 for a Committal Service & Interment at 1:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
