Vernon Smith, Jr

SMITH, Jr., Vernon Henry, 67, of Glen Burnie, passed away on March 25, 2014. He was an insurance agent for Monumental Insurance Company, formerly People's life. Vernon was a member of the Elks Lodge in Essex and the Ferndale Community Club. He loved sports, especially Navy sports, traveling, and he enjoyed having fun.
Vernon is the devoted husband of 26 years to Kathleen A. Smith; beloved father of Geoffrey Smith and his wife Nicole, Jaime Houck and her husband Casey, Laura Harrison and her husband Jamie, and the late John W. Krause and his wife Brenda; loving grandfather of Ryan, Zachary, and Sarah Harrison, Nicholas and Benjamin Krause, Aaron and Cora Smith, and Ben and Luke Stidham; dear brother of Karen Schreyer, the late Melvin Smith, Francis Smith and his wife Debbie, Charles Smith, Janet Vaughn, and Diana Jones and her husband Dean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
