William Boston, Jr

William Elmo Boston, Jr., 85, of Severn, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center surrounded by his family.

William was born on August 23, 1933 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late William Elmo Boston, Sr. and Rosalie Ligon. He grew up and attended school in Lynchburg, Virginia. After high school he joined the Unites States Navy and faithfully served his country for four years. After he was honorably discharged he moved to Maryland and shortly after begin a career spanning 38 years with the Potomac Electric Power Company. He enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening, and being at home spending time with family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed. He has a sister Betty.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth A. Boston; children, William Boston, Rosemarie Kosydar, Kimberly Ries, and Gerald Boston; grandchildren, Jackie King, Amanda Boston, Bobby Kosydar, Julie Kosydar, and Alex Ries.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
