On November 2, 2006, William F. Kaline, Sr. of Brooklyn Park. Loving husband to the late Anna Marie Kaline for 60 years; devoted father to William F. Kaline, Jr., Robert Wayne Kaline and Joan Marie Lucas; Caring brother to Roland Kaline, Evelyn Hunt, Robert Kaline and Clara Kaline; he was also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son John Allen Kaline.
Mr. Kaline was a retired iron worker retiring from both Maryland Drydock and Bethlehem Steel. A World War II Veteran, he served in the US Army from 1943 - 1945 in which received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. William fought as a member of a rifle squad in the jungles of New Guinea and the Philippines and also served in reconnaissance patrols in obtaining information as to terrain and disposition of the enemy. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #255. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, helping others and was an all-around handy man.
