William Nathaniel Hogan, Jr., age 35, of Clinton, Maryland unexpectedly passed away on December 24, 2020. He was born on January 3, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland. William (“Bill”) attended Severn Elementary school in Glen Burnie, Maryland before moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he graduated from Bayside High School as a straight ‘A’ student. He returned to Maryland at the age of 18. William was an artist and a musician. He loved to create by drawing and was extremely talented.
William recently started a new career as an aircraft handler for Piedmont Airlines. He was excited about his new job and looked forward to the future. When not at work you could find him sketching, drawing, or making music in his makeshift basement studio. He was a self-taught tattoo artist and created unique designs for his customers. William had a passion for skateboarding and spent many hours custom building his own as a young man.
Much of his free time was dedicated to his son whom he loved more than words. He had several careers which he enjoyed. He worked as a landscaper during good weather and previously worked in the restaurant industry. He was a dedicated artist and good friend to many. William was a father, a brother, and a son who cared deeply for others.
He leaves to mourn his sudden and unexpected passing, his son Mason Chance Phelps, his father, William Hogan, Sr., his mother Tangela Torain Myers and step-father Christopher Myers, maternal grandmother, Betty Faulcon, grandmother Christine Myers; his sister, Crystal Myers, his brothers, Chris Torain and Dason Hogan; aunts, Shirl Johnson, Teresa Davis, Lessie Torain, Yolanda Myers, Michelle Myers, Janey Myers; uncles Vincent Torain (Deborah), Connie Torain, Jr., Jefferey Torain, great-aunt Eva Williams, special cousins Clarissa Redd, Roger Griffin, and Stephen Kelly; good friends Ryan Poole, Sherrod Jenkins, and Lorin Heath; and a host of friends and family.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy), on Sunday, January 3rd, from 3 - 6 PM. There will be a private service for immediate family prior to his visitation with a webcast for extended family and friends. The link to join will be listed below. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are only allowing 40 people inside the funeral home at one time and requiring masks for all visitors. We kindly ask that you please keep your visit brief, as there may be people waiting to enter the funeral home.
